Client: WirelessVertical.com, Inc.
WirelessVertical.com pioneered the wireless industry with a
business-to-business (B2B) marketplace and supply chain for the liquidation of used and excess wireless devices.
WirelessVertical.com developed an auction capability and exchange for wireless devices. Its customers included manufacturers,
carriers, refurbishers, resellers and distributors. It leveraged the power of the Internet via on-line B2B auctions to facilitate
the recycling of these assets from developed markets to emerging markets on a global scale. Visibility and availability to sellers
and buyers is increased through the WirelessVertical.com marketplace where goods are found in much larger quantities from many
sources to many buyers.
Project: Market Entry, Business Planning, & Corporate
Organization
As a new business adventure initially funded by the
founders, WirelessVertical.com required low cost market entry and immediate brand awareness. They needed to work with a company
with information technology, B2B Web-based, and telecommunications industry knowledge to shorten time-to-market and learning
curves.
Success: Crafted Corporate Image, Great Press
Coverage, & Business Plan
We were selected as the outsourced marketing organization, performing marketing and public relations. We built
and implemented marketing strategies, created strategic alliances, delivered publicity, wrote Web site text, collaterals, business
plans and executive summaries that won VC review in a tightening B2B environment. Based upon previous experiences and technology
savvy, our PR and marketing efforts won coverage and credibility. We hit the targeted trade and industry publications, received
analyst attention, secured VC meetings, and helped develop auction and exchange technology that continues to be profitably
licensed.
