Agreement Broadens NDS’s Ability to Deliver Innovative Interactive Applications

Newport Beach, CA – July 28, 2003 – NDS, a News Corporation company and leading provider of technology solutions for digital pay-TV, announced today that it has joined the itaas istart Application Developer Program. Through the program, itaas will provide support services to NDS for the development of interactive applications for Scientific-Atlanta’s Explorer® set-top boxes.

The program will enhance NDS’s ability to offer cable operators a variety of exciting interactive TV applications and help enable its applications to be integrated with the Scientific-Atlanta Explorer® digital set-top box platform.
